I'm Jeni. A wife, mom, boudoir photographer, traveler, and storyteller.
And since 2012, I've been doing what I believe I was put here to do — helping women see themselves the way God created them. Fearfully. Wonderfully. Without flaw.
How I got here
I didn't plan to become a boudoir photographer. Honestly, I kind of stumbled into it — the way the best things in life tend to happen. A friend needed a photographer for something intimate, I said yes, and somewhere in that session, something shifted in me. I watched a woman who walked in unsure of herself walk out standing taller. I saw her look at an image of herself and go quiet in the best possible way. And I thought: this is it. This is what I'm supposed to do.
That was over thirteen years ago. Since then, I've had the honor of working with hundreds of women across Orange County and Southern California — brides, moms, milestones, and everyone in between. Every single one has left with something more than photographs.
The faith behind the lens
My faith is not separate from my work. It is my work.
I believe with my whole heart that every woman is made in the image of God — and that she deserves to see that reflected in her. Not a filtered, retouched, impossible version of herself. Her. The real, actual, here-right-now her.
Scripture tells us we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). It tells us we are "altogether beautiful" with "no flaw" (Song of Solomon 4:7). These aren't affirmations I stumbled across — they're the foundation of everything I do in that studio. Every session I shoot is, in some small way, an act of showing a woman what God already sees when He looks at her.
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
— Psalm 139:14
When I'm not in the studio, I'm a wife and mom — and those roles shape everything about how I show up for my clients. I know what it is to pour yourself out for everyone else. I know what it is to put yourself last. I built Grace and Lace partly because I believe women deserve a place that's entirely, unapologetically about them — even just for one afternoon.
I'm also a traveler, a lover of good coffee, and someone who firmly believes that every woman has a version of herself she hasn't fully met yet. My favorite part of this job is introducing her to that version.
I'm based in Huntington Beach, California, and I serve women throughout Orange County — including Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Laguna Beach — and across Southern California.
"You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you."
— Song of Solomon 4:7
If you're reading this and something in you is saying maybe — that's enough. Reach out. I'd love to hear your story.
