Jeni and Sarah are so amazingly talented and sweet! They both made me feel so comfortable and pampered. I felt as if I'd known them forever and it was just a fun day of dress up with the besties. Jeni took time with me during the viewing so I didn't feel rushed to select me photos and OH MY GOODNESS....they were breathtaking! I never knew I could look like that!!! One of my favorite parts about the entire session is your viewing. Shooting is fantastic, of course, and we definitely have a blast doing it but when you actually get to SEE yourself on the screen - yeah, utter amazement. Yup - that really IS you on the screen. That is your hard work, your beauty, your personality, the real YOU coming through the photos. I love watching my clients have this revelation about themselves. We start every session with a slideshow, just to whet your appetite. It's where just a handful of your images are set to music and you can watch your photos come to life. Your breath will be taken away - I promise!

Are you kidding me with her pink hair, nose ring, AND tattoos (oh, and even glasses in a few)?? Gah, she's beautiful and was so much fun to have in front of my lens! I also love that she loved her makeup. We take great pride in making sure you are happy at EVERY POINT in the session. We want you to love your hair/makeup as well as the photos. We don't want you looking back and feeling regret because it doesn't look like your vision. You get to decide whether you want sultry, dramatic, or natural makeup.  You get to decide whether you'd like your hair straight, curly, or wavy. This is YOUR shoot and your confidence is boosted when you look like what you envisioned for your shoot. 

This client was a little hesitant during hair/makeup because she's had a session where the makeup made her look 10-20 years older than what she is. But her she was wowed (just like every other client) when she saw herself here! Sarah has an amazing talent and it shows with all of our clients. She's not afraid of any special requests, either. Don't be afraid to be specific. Vegan only makeup? She can handle it. Skin allergies? PLEASE let her know! A little thicker brow? Just let her know!

When a review like this comes in, I'm so humbled. I know what we do is important but it stops me mid-stride every time I hear a client echo my words. I know that they truly understand - this isn't just a gift for someone else (even if it starts out that way!) 

"Jeni and Sarah are my all time heroes. I am very self conscious women and often hide from the camera. When I saw a friend and some amazing pictures of her I couldn't believe it!  what a set of balls she had! I wanted so bad to be that brave. So I followed the Facebook page with absolute admiration. What to expect at your photoshoot!

Don't be nervous doll, here is everything you need to know about preparing for your photo shoot.

Have you been thinking about booking a session with Grace and Lace Boudoir, but your still a little bit unsure? Let me break it down for you.....

From the very moment that you inquire about a shoot, we will be there one hundred percent. You can ask me a million questions and I will answer them all for you. We have a welcome guide that we send out to all of our clients that will break down everything for you. We give you a guide on what to wear, where to shop, and tips and tricks on how to prepare for your shoot. 

When you get to the studio...

When you get to the studio, Jeni and I will introduce ourselves, take your things, and let you sit down and take a load off. We know that you are probably a little nervous, which is totally normal. After you sit down, we will offer you a beverage, either a glass of wine or water. Jeni will the take a quick before picture of you (don't worry though, we don't do anything with it unless you give us permission through a written contract AT your viewing session.) After your picture is taken, I (Sarah) will then get started on your hair. We will get to chatting so we can know you a little better and you can get to know us too! When your hair is just about done, we go through your wardrobe and help you decide on what to wear, we usually pick around 3-4 outfits. Now on to makeup, (my favorite!) During makeup, we will chat some more, and by this time your nerves have melted away because now we are all just girlfriends hanging out and having a good time. 

On to the shoot! 

After hair and makeup are done, you will get into your first outfit. Jeni will then get you in your first pose. Don't stress about facial expressions or poses, you don't have to think about anything from here on out, Jeni will coach you throughout the whole process. She will tell you where to look, how to breathe, keep your mouth slightly parted, point your toes, look up, look down etc.... we will go through all of your outfits, and by the end of it, you will probably be walking around naked! At the end of your session, Jeni will go over dates for your viewing. 

Viewing session

About a week or two after your session, you will come back for your Reveal. This is Jenis FAVORITE part. You will get to see all of your beautiful images on screen and Jeni will help you narrow down which ones are your favorite. She will go over all of our Beautiful Luxury Boutique Products and explain in detail all of your options. 

We really strive to help you feel as comfortable as possible throughout this whole process. It's our mission for you to walk out feeling more confident, empowered and sexy. This should be an experience that you remember for a lifetime! 

Miss R's Second Boudoir Session ::: Orange County Boudoir ::: Grace and Lace Boudoir

This is Miss R's second time that she has been in our Orange County boudoir studio for a session. ((you might even remember her session from just 7 months ago! https://graceandlaceboudoir.com/blog/on-my-bucket-list-orange-county-boudoir)) She is the epitome of grace, confidence, gorgeousness, and kindness.  I loved the lingerie (and lack of ;) that she brought with her. She wanted something completely different for her session this time around. She recently started on a healthy eating program and felt the best she's felt in a long time, so she wanted to commemorate that!  And paired up with the hair and makeup that Sarah did, yeah, I'm DYING!  What I loved too was that she decided she would do a set of photos with very natural makeup for her husband who loves her fresh-faced but then she knew she wanted the glam look for herself. So we did both. A boudoir session with us is customizable - it's NOT cookie cutter, one size fits all around here.

I am completely smitten with these images of Miss R! She wasn't afraid to trust me and as a result, we got some amazingly steamy photos. She originally intended for these to be a gift for her husband, but just like everyone else, she realized this is JUST as much, if not MORE SO, a gift for themselves.

You have permission to be both an incredible, giving, nurturing mother and a sexy WOMAN. Don’t lose sight of the woman you were before you had kids - the two CAN coexist together. You are allowed to have ME time - time that you’re not spending taking care of everyone’s needs. Invest in yourself - don’t let happiness feel like a foreign concept to you. It’s all about balance.
